The Training Center is invested in providing top-notch addiction treatment training utilizing
cutting-edge in-person technology.
In-person training on Colorado's Western Slope offers the advantage of less time and money spent on travel for
Western Slope residents. Agency pricing offers significant savings when multiple employees attend a training.
Trainings can be held at individual agencies or in locations most convenient for the students.
Our instructors are DBH-approved leaders in the addiction treatment field with a strong commitment to workforce
development and keeping the field fresh, energized, and viable.
The Counseling Center provides evidence-based treatment for individuals and families whose
lives have been impacted by sexual compulsivity and other trauma-based behavioral addictions. Pia
Mellody's Post-Induction Therapy© and sexual addiction treatment methods developed at The Meadows are paired with
leading-edge trauma interventions for compassionate, effective care. Sandy McFall has studied with Pia Mellody,
Maureen Canning, and Peter Levine to create the first western Colorado agency providing sexual addiction, love
addiction, and love avoidance treatment.

DIRECTOR
Sandy McFall, MA, LAC, NCACII, has served the addiction treatment field with
dedication and integrity over the past 20 years. As Clinical Director for West Slope Casa from 1997 to 2008,
Sandy managed a provider group of publicly-funded substance abuse programs consisting of 44 offices over 44,000
miles. During that time, Sandy developed the West Slope Casa Training Consortium, which provided in-person
Certified Addiction Counselor training in several areas of Western Colorado where previously no training was
available, and bringing many new faces into the workforce.
Concurrently, as Substance Abuse Director for Colorado West Regional Mental Health from 1992 to
2008, Sandy expanded evidence-based substance abuse programming to include intensive outpatient, gender-specific
transitional living, women-only intensive residential, and non-traditional as well as traditional detoxification
centers designed to meet the needs of the communities they served.
In 2008, Sandy opened a private practice for sexual addiction recovery in Grand Junction,
Colorado, after training in the treatment of love addiction, love avoidance, and sexual addiction at The Meadows in
Wickenberg AZ. Additionally, she trained in effective trauma treatments developed by Lisa Najavits and Peter
Levine. Sandy provides trauma-informed inteventions for addicts and their significant others, with an emphasis on
sexual compulsivity and substance abuse.
OUR TRAINERS
Sandy McFall, MA, LAC, NCACII, is the Director of Seven Cedars Education & Counseling
Center LLC, and a Colorado-approved Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) trainer since 1999. Sandy helped refine the
Colorado counselor certification process through State committee involvement, and she participated in regional
training initiatives as a member of the Addiction Educators group through the Mountain West Addiction Technology
Transfer Center.
Sandy teaches in-person Colorado CAC courses on Colorado's
Western Slope, and has been instrumental in bringing Colorado-approved CAC classes to the online learning
community. She also operates the Northwest Colorado House Rabbit Society, a non-profit
domestic rabbit rescue in Western Colorado, which rescues, rehabilitates, and adopts out bunnies to live in
peoples' homes.
